Contributor's comments: Being a Dapto girl from way back my understanding of the term "Dapto Dog" is two fold. Firstly it was a derogatory term used for a female (of any nationality) from Dapto. However the term originated from the regular Thursday night greyhound races held in Dapto which were known far and wide as the 'Dapto Dogs'.
